CHRISTMAS TIME

Voordat ik met jullie mijn nieuwe kaartje deel, wil ik eerst iets anders met jullie delen. Elk jaar met kerstmis verras ik een paar mensen die me heel dierbaar zijn met kadootjes, meestal die ik zelf gemaakt heb. Ook dit jaar heb ik een aantal mensen blij gemaakt en omdat ze allemaal hun kadootjes ontvangen hebben, kan ik ze met jullie delen.
Ik had dit jaar een aantal notitieboekjes bekleed met papier en ze met kant of lint en frutsels aangekleed. Ik heb degene die ik gemaakt heb even samen op de foto gezet:

Before I share my new card with you, I want to share something else with you.
Every year around Christmas I surprise a few people that are close to me with presents, most of the time handmade presents. This year was no different and since everyone has their present now, I can share them with you.
For starters, I made little notebooks and decorated them with lace/ribbon and other embelishements. I've made a total photo of them all:

Another hobby of mine is Ceramic Painting and I started early this year, so I would be in time for Christmas to give them, I made this little snowman:

On top of the box I decorated it also:

Gelukkig was iedereen enorm blij met de kadootjes en dat deed me ontzettend goed.
In het pakketje zat nog meer, maar dat kan ik nu nog niet met jullie delen en houden jullie tegoed.

I was so pleased when everyone was happy with their presents. I've put a bit more selfmade stuff in the package, but I cannot share it with you now, but I will do so in the future.

Het kaartje wat ik vandaag met jullie delen wil is gemaakt naar een schets van Sketchy Saturday, maar helaas ben ik te laat met inleveren bij hun. Het was een uitdaging voor mij het papier in 1 kleur te houden. Het magnoliaatje is met 1 kleur gekleurd (Sepia van de aquamarkers).
Opnieuw ook gebruik gemaakt van de snowmarker, ik vind het echt enorm leuk deze te gebruiken.
Ik ben ontzettend aagje jullie reacties te lezen.

The card I want to share with you today is made after a sketch from Sketchy Saturday, but alas I just didn't finish it on time. My personal challenge this time was to make a card in one papercolour. I've also coloured the Magnolia image with 1 colour (Aquamarkers Sepia).
Again I've used my snow marker..such a lovely tool to use !

Dit keer geen kaartje wat ik met jullie delen wil, maar een kerstdecoratie. Ik heb dit gemaakt voor een vriendin die het pas ontvangen heeft en daarom dat ik het ook nu pas delen kan met jullie. Ik ben benieuwd naar jullie reacties over hoe jullie het vinden.

PRETTIGE FEESTDAGEN

Ik heb deze keer eens geen Engelse tekst gekozen maar een Nederlandse. Het kaartje doet namelijk mee aan de lopende (sketch) challenge van de Nederlands kaarten uitdaging.
Het was nogal wat werk deze kaart te maken, omdat ik alle randjes wilde borduren, maar het is me gelukt hihi. Ik kon het niet nalaten de klok van Tim te gebruiken.
Achter elk vierkantje is wondgaas geplakt om de vintage look wat te benadrukken. Ook heb ik geprobeerd met aquamarkers plooien in het jurkje te maken voor het eerst, maar door de glitter wat ik op het jurkje gebruikt heb, valt dit bijna niet op helaas.
Als papier heb ik het geweldig gaaf papier van Melissa Francis gebruikt. De eland (of hert ??) is afkomstig van de Xenos, net als de sterretjes en de sneeewkristallen.
Ik heb me op dit kaartje helemaal uitgeleefd met de snow marker (LOL).
Ik ben ontzettend benieuwd jullie reacties te lezen.

On this card I didn't use an English text, but a Dutch one, simply 'cause I'm entering this card in a Dutch challenge were you have to use a Dutch sentiment. It was quite time consuming to make this card, as I wanted all squares to be hand-stitched, but I finished the card before the challenge ends. I also couldn't resist using one of Tim's dies, the clock.
I've put cheescloth also underneath each square to create a more vintage look.
I've coloured the image with aquamarkers and I've tried to express the dress a bit more, alas it is hardly seen due to the glitter I added later on.
I've used the fantastic paperpad from melissa Francis for this card. The moose (or is it a dear ???) comes from a local store, same goes for the stars and snowflakes.
I've also used the snowmarker a lot on this card.

BLESSINGS (FOR A WONDERFUL) CHRISTMAS TIME

De nieuwe challenge bij WOJ is onlangs weer van start gegaan. Deze keer is de opdracht maak een kaartje aan de hand van een sketch. Gisterenavond ben ik hiermee gestart en vandaag heb ik de finishing touch gedaan. De tekst van het kaartje komt van de paperpad dit ik gebruikt heb van Maja Design hij is met hele kleine brads vastgemaakt. Tja, deze stempel is blijkbaar echt mijn favoriet, ik kon het niet laten hem weer te gebruiken op een kaarte hihi. Verder de "standaard" dingen op mijn kaartje, randen met de handgeborduurd, tuurlijk stanzen van Tim gebruikt, Henry met aquamarkers ingekleurd en last but not least, het katje ontbreekt er ook niet aan hihi.
Ik ben ontzettend benieuwd wat jullie van mijn kaartje vinden en kijk er naar uit jullie reacties te lezen.

A new challenge started over at WOJ, you have to make a card to a sketch. Yesterday I started with this card and today I give it the final looks. The text I've used is from the same paperpad as the paper I've used. They are both from Maja Design. I really love this papierline. I've attached the text with small brads to this card. Obviously Henry is my beloved image that I really enjoy using. Again I've used the cute image with the hot coco mug.
The rest of the card is pretty much my standard card at the moment: handstitched borders, Tim Holtz dies, image coloured with aquamarkers and let's not forget my cat...YES it's added LOL.

SUGAR BOWL SKETCH # 73

Weer een nieuwe challenge bij The Sugar Bowl, waar je naast de sketch moest kiezen voor iets wat je normaal nooit gebruikt, in mijn geval gebruik ik bijna nooit 3D stukjes en dat heb ik hier met de handschoenen wel gedaan. Het afdrukje is een Sassy Girl. De rest van het kaartje is denk ik inmiddels bekend, ik bedoel waarmee ik inkleur enzo hihi.

I couldn't resist this sketch from the Sugar Bowl, about a week ago a new challenge started en this card is my entry. Besides the sketch the extra challenge was "do something unusual". In my case, I rarely use 3D objects and the mittens in the middle are in 3D.

Allereerst wil ik mijn nieuwe volgers van harte welkom heten ! Bedankt dat jullie mijn projectjes zo mooi vonden dat jullie besloten volgers te worden.
Alle trouwe volgers en de volgers die een reactie achterlaten, heel hartelijk bedankt, het zijn lichtpuntjes voor me !

Ach, is ie niet lief, het muisje van WOJ ? Ik vind het zo'n gaaf stempeltje, dat ik hem ook nu weer gebruikt heb op een kaartje.
Bij Hannah and friends was een schets die ik gevolgd heb bij het maken van de kaart. Het rondje dat als eerste laag diende was de klok van Tim, die ik met glimmer mist en glimmer glam bewerkt heb. Verder zoals bijna de laatste tijd normaal zijn de randen van de embellies met witte verf bewerkt en zijn de randen van het papier met de hand geborduurd. Ik ben ontzettend benieuwd jullie reacties te lezen hoe jullie het kaartje vinden.

Isn't he sweet, this cute little Henry mouse ? I think he is, so again a used him for a card.
I decided to follow a sketch over at Hanna and friends for my card.
A bit like always these days, the sides of the papers are handstitched and the sides of the embelishments I've used are painted with white.
I've used the Tim's clock, but it's hard to see. I've used glimmer glam and glimmer mist for this piece, so it would fit more to the paper.
